Los Angeles Home Earns Top Design Award From Interior Design Magazine

Best of Year Award - Large House

Premier Lighting Firm ADG Lighting Part of Award-Winning Design Team

Further cementing their status as a go-to design manufacturer, premier Los Angeles design firm ADG Lighting’s recent collaborative project in Brentwood earned a Best of Year award for Large House from Interior Design magazine.

As part of a collaborative effort with Delta Wright Interior Design (formerly of Curated), the award recognizes the design work for the 12,000 square foot property. The home, built by renowned architect Hagy Belzberg of Belzberg Architects, reflected a specific sensibility desired by the owners, who were seeking a real family home.

"The project definitely provided us an avenue to express our creative abilities. The unique composition of the home provided some design challenges that we were ready to tackle. We enjoyed working with Delta and her team."

Sitting on four acres, the large house was conceived as stacked volumes, as a boomerang atop another boomerang, creating a sense of scale. ADG was enlisted to design and custom manufacture several fixtures and furnishings for the avant-garde home, including a restored mid-century modern Italian vintage glass orb chandelier in the powder bathroom, an artisan glass blown modern chandelier in the kitchen, and a ten foot long custom pool table cue wall rack to complement the French pool table.

“The project definitely provided us an avenue to express our creative abilities,” said Gerald Olesker, founder and principal of ADG Lighting. “The unique composition of the home provided some design challenges that we were ready to tackle. We enjoyed working with Delta and her team.”

The award, part of Interior Design’s 10th annual Best of Year awards, honors interior design excellence in nearly 50 categories. The home was published in the November 2015 issue.
